At a Glance

  • Cinematic e-commerce concept for an artisan Himalayan flower brand
  • Designed and built end to end in React, TypeScript, and Motion
  • Dark, moody aesthetic with parallax storytelling and a full cart flow
Rhododendron is a premium web application for a high-end artisan flower brand emphasizing sustainable harvesting and traditional Bhutanese craftsmanship. The platform tells the story of artisans who handpick rare Himalayan blooms from village communities. I designed and built the entire experience: a cinematic hero section with parallax scrolling, an animated 7-petal logo with glowing center, product collections featuring artisan stories, a gifting essentials carousel, and a luxurious shopping cart system. The design uses a dark, moody, cinematic aesthetic with dramatic lighting. Built with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS v4, it uses Motion for sophisticated scroll-triggered animations. Users can seamlessly browse collections, add items to cart, and proceed to checkout within an immersive interface that feels like a luxury brand experience.

Case Study

Final Artifact

A working luxury storefront: animated seven-petal logo, parallax hero, artisan story collections, gifting carousel, and cart through checkout.

Key Design Moments & Impact

01

Cinema as commerce

Scroll-triggered scenes make browsing feel like a film without hiding the buy button.

02

Design and code in one hand

Owning both meant the motion design survived implementation untouched.

Reflection

Proof that immersive and usable are not opposites. The luxury is pacing, not friction.
