WHY MY WEBSITE BECAME A WHEEL OF LIFE

Design notes on turning a portfolio into a circular life OS.

WHY MY WEBSITE BECAME A WHEEL OF LIFE

The idea for the Wheel of Life came from a need to bring everything together. My roots, my experiences, my work, and my growth could not be separated into flat pages or linear sections. I wanted a system that reflected how my life actually makes sense to me.

Traditional websites never felt accurate. They organize information, but they do not show connection. I wanted something unique that could hold complexity without fragmenting it. The Wheel of Life became that structure. A single system where personal history and professional work coexist and inform one another.

At the center of the wheel is identity. Every segment represents a part of my life, not as a category, but as an orbit. The movement of the wheel reflects growth. The relationships between elements are as important as the elements themselves.

The structure is inspired by the Dorji. In Bhutanese culture, the Dorji represents strength, stability, and protection. It symbolizes something grounded and unbreakable. For me, it represents resilience and continuity. No matter how much life shifts, the center remains steady. This principle guided the entire system design.

This website did not come together quickly. It took over 250 iterations to arrive at its current form. Each version clarified what mattered and what did not. I continued refining it because this was not only a portfolio. It was a process of alignment.

The website you see today is the result of that process. It is designed to be experienced, not scrolled. It functions as a tool, but it exists as a reflection of how I think, create, and grow.
